Undoing Conquest – Bible and Book Study

This class will study the book Undoing Conquest: Ancient Israel, the Bible, and the Future of Christianity by Dr. Kate Common.  “Recovering archeological evidence that reshaped understandings of Israelite history and the Bible in the last century, Undoing Conquest examines how the biblical conquest narratives shaped Christian ideology, challenges the theological imagination of conquest still present in Christianity today, and proposes ways to invite the Highland Settlements story into the life of the church to create a more just future.

This book will be a challenging read, but anyone willing to take the journey is welcome to join in this six-week study led by Rev. Colleen Ogle in consultation with Dr. Kate Common, the book’s author.
